The Role
This is a senior technical and leadership position.
You will serve as:
- The escalation point for complex technical issues
- The technical lead for the support team
- A solutions engineer designing and implementing secure environments
- A mentor developing junior technicians
You are expected to own outcomes, not just tasks.
What You’ll Do
Technical Leadership
- Handle Tier 3 escalations across infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments
- Design and implement server, network, and security solutions
- Lead remediation of complex issues with a root-cause focus
- Ensure alignment with security standards and compliance requirements (CMMC/NIST)
Client Impact
- Communicate directly with clients clearly, confidently, and proactively
- Provide high-quality onsite and remote support
- Deliver solutions that prioritize stability, security, and long-term performance
Team Leadership
- Mentor and guide junior technicians
- Oversee ticket quality, documentation, and escalation handling
- Ensure team adherence to SOPs and service standards
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation across all systems
- Manage multiple priorities (projects and escalations) effectively
- Track and improve performance against KPIs (CSAT, ticket quality, resolution metrics)
What We’re Looking For
This role is for experienced professionals only.
Technical Expertise Needed (Strong)
- Windows Server (2016–2025), Active Directory
- Microsoft 365 and Azure (Hybrid and Cloud environments)
- Exchange (on-prem and migration scenarios)
- Networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls – Fortinet preferred)
- Endpoint security (NGAV, hardening, best practices)
- Cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
Must Have
- Must be a US Citizen
- MUST reside in the Northern VA / DC Metro area
- Associates degree OR equivalent experience
- 6+ years of industry experience
Strongly Preferred
- MSP experience in a senior or lead role
- Experience with CMMC, NIST 800-171, DFARS
- Certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, or higher
- Advanced certifications (CISM, CISA, ITIL, PMP)

Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM - in office
- Occasional travel required
- Some work-from-home flexibility
